How many smoke detectors should I have in my house?
You should have a smoke detector in every bedroom and outside sleeping areas. You also need them on every floor of the house.
3.
How often should I change the batteries in my smoke detectors?
You should change your batteries twice a year. A good way to remember this is to change your batteries when you change your clocks in the spring and fall.
