[ARCHIVED] Get Your Child’s School Physical at the Health Department

Norwalk public school students will return to classes in just a few weeks, and students entering Kindergarten, sixth, or ninth grades must get a physical exam before school starts. The Norwalk Health Department is helping parents prepare for the upcoming school year by offering affordable school physicals for these children on August 24 and 25, 1 pm to 4 pm. Examinations include all necessary screening tests, laboratory tests, and vaccines.

If you have insurance and a regular health care provider, contact your child’s doctor now to schedule an appointment for a school physical, but if you are having difficulty finding an affordable, timely option elsewhere, call the Health Department for more information or to make an appointment at (203) 854-7776. Appointments are limited, and priority is given to Norwalk residents. Please note that appointments are reserved for physicals required for school entry, not sports physicals.

In addition to school physicals, childhood vaccines are available upon request for children of all ages.
