CITY HALL CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING!
This year we will be lighting the Norwalk City Hall Christmas tree at a new, and quite old, location. Please join us at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum in Mathews Park for an “Old Fashioned Tree Lighting” ceremony, on Friday, December 6th from 5:45pm – 7:00pm. Enjoy the music and the magic of the season while you wander through the beautiful grounds of the estate, hopefully under a velvety black sky studded with glowing stars. Keep an eye out for the jolly man in the red suit too!
After the Tree Lighting Ceremony, we would also like to invite everyone into the Mansion to tour the grand display of holiday decorations. There will be music, snacks, hot chocolate and candy canes; tours will be ½ price, ($5) and with that you can also visit the Billiards Room to view the exhibit, Two Connecticut Painters: From Impressionism to Regionalism co-curated by Leigh Grant and Gail Ingis-Claus.
Ho, ho, hope to see everyone there to usher in the 2013 holiday season!
