[ARCHIVED] Sandy Update

All residents should be making preparations for the impact of Sandy in our area. The greatest concern is the prolonged flooding over as many as 4 high tide cycles beginning Sunday night. High winds from the storm may push water into the SW portion of Long Island Sound.
High winds may also cause wide-spread outages and all residents should be prepared to be without power for at least 3 days. Evacuation calls are expected to begin as the forecast and timing is better confirmed, The Shelter will be at Brien McMahon HS on Highland Ave. The shelter is pet friendly. Please bring necessary supplies to stay overnight such as medications, sleeping bags, etc.

We will continue to update the City's main webpage as well as our facebook page: www,facebook,com/NorwalkOEM
