[ARCHIVED] Celebrate America Recycles Day on Tuesday November 15, 2011

Recycling is the easiest thing we can all do 365 days each year to save energy, conserve natural resources and create green jobs. Recycling is a multi-billion dollar industry that employs millions of Americans and helps advance our clean energy economy.

Fun Recycling Facts:

· Recycling one aluminum cans will power a 46 inch LED TV for 3 hours.

· You don’t need to remove the cap from your PET (#!) plastic bottles to recycle it. The plastic cap is recyclable, too!

· Recycling one ton of paper saves 17 trees, 3 cubic yards of landfill space, 2 barrels of oil, 7,000 gallons of water and 4,100 kilowatt hours of electricity - enough energy to power the average American home for 5 months.
