(Norwalk, Conn.) Today, April 11, 2023, the City of Norwalk announced the schedule for the 2023 Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection events in and near the City. The events are free to Norwalk residents and include an upcoming event next Saturday, April 22 in Westport from 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM. The HHW Collection event in Westport will take place at Greens Farm Railroad Station New Creek Road (between I-95 and Metro-North RR Tracks) Parking Lot #1.
The City of Norwalk will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, August 26, from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Norwalk High School, located at 23 Calvin Murphy Drive.
The following Household Hazardous Waste events are also FREE to Norwalk Residents.
- Please have your driver’s license or vehicle registration available.
- Residents ONLY = NO Commercial or Business loads accepted

PLEASE NOTE: The following municipalities are no longer participating – Wilton & Weston.
How To Transport HHW Materials Safely:
- Leave materials in original labeled containers. Tighten caps & lids.
- Pack containers in sturdy upright boxes and pad with newspapers.
- Sort & pack separately: paint, pesticides, household cleaners, etc.
- Pack your car and drive directly to the HHW event.
- Please do NOT mix chemicals!
