[ARCHIVED] Similac Infant Formula Recall

FDA has publicized the recall of specific types of infant formula produced by Abbott Nutrition in their Sturgis, Minnesota facility - Similac, Alimentum, or EleCare powdered infant formulas - due to the apparent association with illness from Cronobacter sakazakii and Salmonella Newport in 4 infants with 2 deaths. Do not feed your baby recalled formula. If you have recalled formula return it to the place you purchased it. If you are a WIC client that is unsuccessful exchanging or returning your formula contact the WIC office 203-854-7885. To learn which formulas are affected by the recall and to learn more visit: https://portal.ct.gov/DPH/WIC/Formula-Resources.

It is important to note that this is an ongoing investigation and therefore it is likely that details about illnesses related to infant formula and the specific types of infant formula may change.
