Due to the recommended guidance regarding large gatherings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as the state Department of Health, the City of Norwalk has decided to cancel its Fourth of July fireworks. The guidance states people should stay at least six feet away from those they do not live with, and recommends that gathering virtually is the safer choice. The City’s fireworks draws 30,000 people from all over the region, and officials made the decision to cancel rather than potentially risk people’s health and safety.
