Message sent on December 16, 2020 at 7 p.m.

To All City Staff: 

Due to the snowstorm and the predicted duration of the inclement weather, I am closing all City buildings and facilities tomorrow, December 17. Those who are not first responders or essential employees should not report to City Hall or any other City facilities tomorrow. The COVID-19 pandemic has provided staff incredible flexibility to work remotely – please use these resources to the best of your abilities tomorrow. Be mindful that not everyone has the same access to technology, so some meetings may need to be scheduled. These are stressful times, so I ask that you try to find time tomorrow to relax a bit, enjoy family, a cup of hot cocoa, and the beauty of the first snowfall. Please also remember to thank our plow drivers and first responders who will be working throughout the night and day tomorrow to keep us safe. 

Regular hours of operation for all City business will resume on Friday, December 18.
