[ARCHIVED] Christmas Tree Collection

For City of Norwalk residents who receive City garbage collection, Christmas Trees will be collected twice during the month of January 2020:

  • Monday, January 6 – Friday, January 10 
  • Monday, January 13 – Friday, January 17

Residents MUST have their Trees curbside by 6:00am on Monday, as the truck will pass by only once during the collection week. Once the truck passes it will NOT return until the second collection week.

PLEASE NO PLASTIC BAGS, DECORATIONS, OR LIGHTS. 

The Winter Hours for the Yard Waste Site are:

  • Monday through Friday:             7:30am-3:00pm (The scale closes for lunch from 12:00pm-12:30pm, approximately) 
  • Saturday & Sunday                    CLOSED

However, there will be two Saturdays in January 2020 when the Site will be open specifically for Christmas Tree and Yard Waste drop-off:

  • Saturday, January 11, 2020:       7:30am-2:00pm
  • Saturday, January 18, 2020:       7:30am-2:00pm

The Site may close due to inclement weather or at the discretion of the Department of Public Works. Please visit norwalkct.org for additional information about closures.

The Yard Waste Site will reopen for the Spring Season on Monday, March 30, 2020. For more information, please contact the Customer Service Center at (203) 854-3200.
