[ARCHIVED] Get Your Child's School Physical Exam at the Health Department

Norwalk students entering kindergarten, sixth, or ninth grades and those new to the Norwalk school system need a physical exam this year. Kindergarteners and new students need their physical before the school year starts. The Norwalk Health Department reminds parents that if you have insurance and a regular health care provider, you should contact your child’s doctor now to schedule an appointment for a school physical. However, if you have trouble finding an affordable, timely option elsewhere, the Health Department is offering affordable school physicals on August 20 and 21, between 1 pm and 4 pm. Examinations include all necessary screening tests, laboratory tests, and vaccines.

Call the Health Department to make an appointment or for more information at (203) 854-7776. Appointments are limited, and priority is given to Norwalk residents. Please note that appointments are reserved for physicals required for school entry, not sports physicals.

In addition to school physicals, childhood immunizations are available upon request for children of all ages.
