Yard Waste Site – Spring/ Summer/ Fall 

 

The Yard Waste Site, located at 15 South Smith Street, will be OPEN for the Spring/ Summer/ Fall Season on Monday April 2, 2018. During the week of March 26th, the Site will be open Monday to Thursday, and closed on Friday March 30th in observance of Good Friday. 

During the Season (Monday April 2, 2018 - Friday December 21, 2018), the hours of operation will be:

Monday – Friday:    7:30 AM – 3:00 PM 

Saturday:               7:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Monday to Friday: the Scale will be closed from approximately 12:00PM-12:30PM.

Yard Waste may be brought loose or bagged in brown paper leaf bags.

All containers, EXCEPT brown paper leaf bags, MUST BE EMPTIED AND REMOVED.

All passenger vehicles must display a Norwalk Resident/ Beach Pass as they enter the Site.

The 2017 Norwalk Resident/Beach Pass expires on March 31, 2018. 

Residents will be given a 30-day Grace Period at both the Transfer Station and Yard Waste Site.  

Residents will be required to have the 2018 Resident/Beach Pass by Tuesday May 1, 2018; for cars or SUVs that enter the Norwalk Transfer Station or Yard Waste Site. 

 

Residents can go to the Recreation & Parks Department at City Hall or visit www.norwalkct.org/residentpass 

 

Norwalk Residents with Pick-up Trucks, Vans, and/or Trailers: The Resident Cards do not need to be renewed until July 1, 2018.
