NICE FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2017 FESTIVAL DATE
AT DONATION CEREMONY TO NICE CHARITIES
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2016, 12N – NORWALK CITY HALL
Mayor Rilling and organizers of The NICE Festival will announce the date for The 2nd Annual NICE Festival from the Mayor’s Office on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 12N.
The First Annual NICE Festival Series 2016 was staged to astounding success! Over 5,000 people attended the day-long event that was filled with pure joy and was a delight to all! A post from Mayor Rilling on Facebook the day of the event summed it up: “the first annual nice festival. People of all races and ethnicities coming together to celebrate our diversity. Norwalk is showing the world how things must be. Norwalk rocks!!!”
Norwalk International Culture Exchange, the non-profit organization that runs The NICE Festival is committed to supporting other local charities and will officially distribute part the proceeds from The NICE Festival 2016 to three of its NICE Charities on Thursday. Representatives from the NICE Charities will be on hand to accept their awards; they include CT. Student for a Dream, the United Haitian-American Society and the TMT Basketball, the youth basketball program that runs out of the Carver Foundation of Norwalk.
The NICE Festival is a collaborative effort with the City of Norwalk Recreation and Parks Department, and the Norwalk Arts Commission and is organized by NICE (Norwalk International Culture Exchange) INC., a Norwalk non-profit 501 c3 organization, that seeks to promote and increase awareness of the diversity of peoples from around the world through arts and culture.
