Flu Shots

The Norwalk Health Department holds community flu vaccine clinics each Fall and Winter, while vaccine supplies last. The standard flu shot is recommended for anyone 6 months of age and older. High-dose flu vaccine is an option from those ages 65 and older.

Community clinics have ended this year, but if you still need a flu shot, please call the front desk (203-854-7776) for more information.

If you have any of the following health insurances, your insurance will cover the cost of your shot: Medicare Part B, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, ConnectiCare, Oxford, and United. Please bring all your insurance cards with you.

No one will be turned away if they are unable to pay.

Other Ways to Prevent the Flu

You can take other simple steps to protect yourself and the people around you from the flu:
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water
  • Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough
  • Stay home if you feel sick
