Central Fire Station Tours

Schools, boy and girl scout troops, and others can schedule group tours of the Central Fire Station, which is located at 121 Connecticut Ave. Since this is a working and very active fire station, we do not host children's parties or rent the space for special events.

Tours are generally given in the late morning so as not to interfere with scheduled training or other department activities.

Tour Topics & Activities

Topics covered by firefighters during the tour include:

• Conducting a walk-through of the building
• Delivering a fire safety talk
• Demonstrating key equipment
