Selection of dispatch personnel is coordinated through the following departments:
Process
To become a dispatcher, you must:
- Complete an online application when we have an available position
- Complete an entrance exam, interview, and background investigation
- If selected, undergo training through the state’s Telecommunicator Training Program
- Undergo in-house training at Combined Dispatch
After successful completion of all phases and a probationary period, you will become a certified telecommunicator.
