DPW Permits

The Department of Public Works Permit Division oversees a number of permits issued by the City of Norwalk. For information on all permits issued by the Department of Public Works, including fees, applications, and or supporting documents needed, where applicable, click the links below. 

If you would like to schedule an appointment or inspection, or should you have any questions, please contact DPW Permits at DPWpermits@norwalkct.gov or (203) 854-4161, or visit our City of Norwalk - Click & Request. Please provide 24-hour’s notice to guarantee an inspection.

If you are planning any construction projects, please schedule a minimum of two (2) weeks to complete your application; plan review, and permit issuance for most construction jobs.

 

Permit Division will work with walk-in customers during the following times:
Monday: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Tuesday: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Wednesday: No Walk-in Hours
Thursday: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Friday: No Walk-in Hours
