Privacy Policy

The Norwalk Health Department places value on being ethical, accountable and maintaining integrity in all programs and services offered. In this effort, the Health Department complies with the 1996 Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), which is a federal law that serves to protect the confidentiality of medical information.

The Norwalk Health Department has made its HIPAA Privacy Policy available for you to review. 

Those receiving our clinic services will be given the opportunity to read the policy and will be asked to sign an acknowledgement of receipt of the privacy notice.
