The Role of Corporation Counsel

  • the legal advisor of and counsel for the City of Norwalk, its departments and officers in matters relating to their official duties and powers.
  • negotiates, prepares and approves contracts and other legal instruments to which the City is a party.
  • gives written opinions on questions of law involving powers and duties of City departments, commissions, or officials.
